As a Navy Veteran who spent four years serving our nation, both in the U.S. and overseas, I’m thankful for that time, as it taught me important concepts and life lessons, such as integrity, dedication, teamwork, responsibility and accountability to name a few.
You, as well as many other elected Republican representatives are guilty of being derelict to all of us and to your country. You’ve abandoned the rule of law, ignored pleas to stop the madness that is enveloping our nation, and have in many ways made us less safe, less healthy and less free by supporting reckless legislation the majority of citizens oppose.
The military has a phrase and legal framework for those who abandon their job duties and responsibilities…it’s called “Dereliction of Duty”, and is the legal term for a willful or negligent failure to perform one's job responsibilities, or performing them in a culpably inefficient way.
It is the abandonment of one's duty or a deliberate failure to do what is required by one's job, and it applies to PUBLIC SERVANTS, military personnel, and sometimes private employees.
You are derelict in your duties to your constituents. You’ve allowed and supported a handful of people to dictate what is right and wrong for an entire nation! It’s pure madness.
By the way, the most common punishments for dereliction of duty in the military ranges from non-judicial penalties to severe consequences, including confinement, forfeiture of pay, reduction in rank, and discharge, depending on the severity of the offense.
Hopefully someday you’ll each be held accountable for dereliction of duty since you’ve literally abandoned your constituents, your country, and your official responsibilities.
