Demand investigations into the ICE shootings of citizens in Minneapolis ICE agents, in their overzealous persuit of illegal aliens, have executed two citizens in Minneapolis. In one case, the victim, rightly or wrongly, was trying to get out of a terrifying situation, and an agent, feeling threatened, opened fire, killing her. The wheels of her car were turned away from the agent, thus she was trying to avoid him. The second case, a man with a phone in his hand and a holstered gun, was executed as he was wrestled to the gun, after his weapon was confiscated. Despite the spin placed on both these incidents by the administration, I believe an investigation will find a primary factor in why these citizens are dead is the training and demeanor of the agents. Federal agencies such as DHS and FBI have prevented local jurisdictions from conducting proper investigations. Given the administration’s distortions of the truths surrounding these incidents, as evidenced by cell phone footage, the investigations must be conducted by a trustworthy agency. You also need to demand oversight of DHS and ICE so that policies, practices, and training are put in place so that people exercising their legal 1st and 2nd Amendment rights are not executed if confronted by an improperly trained, adrenaline-hyped agent, as seems to be the case in these recent events in Minneapolis.
