Please don't forget about the Kennedy Center. Trump's spiteful whim about closing the building for "essential" repairs is completely unnecessary. Someone leaked a memo to NPR and it's clear that the planned renovations will not require the building to be closed. Most of them are either wasteful or stupid or both, such as replacing acres of 2-year-old red carpeting and installing marble armrests in the Concert Hall. But the main concern is the building closure. Our beloved NSO would be homeless for who knows how long. Please don't let this happen.
