Another school shooting, this time at an elementary school. This is truly heart wrenching. We have a gun problem. You can’t deny or ignore this anymore. One of the leading causes of death in children is gun violence. We are talking about our children You need to stop making excuses and start to treat this as a nation emergency, a health crisis because it is. This doesn’t happen in other countries. Not like it does here. We have accepted this as the norm which is unthinkable. It’s not normal. Not at all. Start to study the problem. Identify solutions m. Engage the public’s thoughts and help. Nobody wants this. Yes, protect gun rights. But children also have the right to attend schools without fear of being shot. We all should be able to live our lives without stills for active shooters. This is a classical example of what is wrong with our political leadership, you see the problem but lack the courage to even acknowledge it. Let alone try to solve it. It’s our politics that results in why this happens in our country. Think about this Friday morning when you hug your kids and send them to school. Will they come home?
