An Open Letter

To: Rep. Valdez, Rep. Richards, Gov. Ferguson, Sen. Krishnadasan

From: A verified voter in Gig Harbor, WA

February 27

I would like to know what the state is doing to develop a comprehensive policy on data centers in Washington. Are there committees working on this? If so, how can citizens get involved? If not, why not? Data centers consume significant resources: land, water, and energy to name just the most obvious. There is tremendous pressure for building more and bigger data centers. We need to be "ahead of the game" understanding how data centers will impact our communities and evaluating the benefits they offer against the costs incurred. I look forward to your response and thank you in advance.
