Please vote NO on HCR 2040. This bill is an attack on the freedom of association and basic liberties of the educators who do their best for Arizona students. Arizona is already facing a crisis in our schools. More than 1,000 teachers have left the profession since the beginning of the year, and more than 4,000 positions are vacant. If HCR 2040 passes, it will make all those problems worse. HCR 2040 would ask voters to restrict how Arizona’s underpaid and overworked educators can work together to push for higher wages and better working conditions. It’s not fair to single out educators like this — and it opens the door to undermining the rights of people in other professions. Please vote against HCR 2040
