It is deeply concerning that the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) has been granted access to the federal payment systems that control trillions of dollars in government funds annually. This system handles crucial programs like Social Security payments, government salaries, and disbursement of Congressional funds. Allowing any unvetted political operatives to potentially interfere with these critical financial operations poses an unacceptable risk to the full faith and credit of the United States. Musk's inflammatory rhetoric attacking agencies like USAID as "evil" and accusing Treasury employees of illegally breaking laws demonstrates a disturbing lack of respect for dedicated public servants. His Silicon Valley allies appear more interested in slashing spending indiscriminately than ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. The reported chaos at USAID, with senior officials placed on leave for denying Doge access to secure facilities, is profoundly troubling. No political appointees should be able to bully career civil servants risking severe damage to government operations on ideological grounds. I urge you to revoke the Doge team's access to the federal payment systems and any other sensitive government data or infrastructure immediately. Unchecked political interference in the machinery of government raises alarming risks of abuse, mismanagement, and violations of public trust. American taxpayers and government employees deserve better.
