Whatever you do- don’t tell Bucco. He’s bad for NJ. Keep him out of the loop.

I am urging you to exercise strategic discipline in any actions, planning, or coordination related to ICE operations in New Jersey—specifically, do not include or brief Anthony Bucco. His record demonstrates a consistent pattern of working against the interests and expressed concerns of New Jersey residents on this issue. This is not speculation—it is observable, repeated behavior. Including him in discussions, granting him access to strategy, or providing advance knowledge of enforcement responses risks undermining the very efforts meant to protect vulnerable communities. This is not about partisanship. It is about operational integrity. When an individual has shown a clear alignment with policies that enable or support aggressive ICE activity, treating them as a neutral participant is not caution—it is exposure. New Jersey is at a critical moment. Residents expect leadership that is not only responsive, but tactically sound. That means controlling the flow of information, limiting access to those who have demonstrated good faith, and ensuring that any coordinated action remains effective and uncompromised. You now hold executive authority over how this state responds. Use it deliberately. Safeguard your strategy. Be selective about who is trusted with sensitive information. Do not allow those who have consistently worked against these efforts to gain leverage within them. Protect the people of New Jersey by protecting the work itself.
