As a constituent horrified at the footage coming out of Minneapolis of ICE atrocities, I implore you to do everything in your power to DEFUND ICE. It is a rogue federal army, deployed to disorient and terrify lawful people in this country. The history of human psychology shows us time and time again that unchecked power creates monsters of men and women (see: Stanford Prison experiment, 1971). ICE currently has minimal oversight, its agents have alleged immunity from any accusations of wrongdoing or, as in the case of Renee Good, murder. The money funding ICE outpaces the spending on other countries armies, let alone our own police forces. It is a disgusting waste of our tax dollars. We are paying to be harassed, threatened and sometimes even injured or killed by thugs cos-playing in military gear. Do not approve any budget that allocates more money to ICE. Decrease, defund, do whatever you can do to reign in this gestapo of Trump’s.
