The federal government is sending officers to the doors of people who criticize ICE online. That is not law enforcement — that is intimidation. David Streever is the second New York resident reported to have received a federal warning tied to his online speech about ICE. This needs to stop, and I need you to act. The First Amendment does not have a carve-out for criticism of immigration agencies. When the government shows up at someone's home because of what they posted online, every American's right to speak freely is under threat. I expect you to publicly condemn this conduct, demand a full accounting from the administration, and push for legislative action that explicitly protects constituents from federal retaliation for protected speech.
