Deep Concern Over State Leadership's Vote and Inaction on "Signal-gate"
To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Moore
From: A verified voter in Layton, UT
April 30
I am writing to express my strong condemnation of Utah state leadership’s recent actions—or lack thereof—regarding the matter now being referred to as “Signal-gate” and the involvement of Secretary Pete Hegseth. The continued silence and failure to hold accountable those implicated erodes public trust in our institutions and damages the credibility of our government.
Utahns deserve transparency and accountability from their elected officials. Instead, what we have witnessed is a troubling vote to block resolutions of inquiry—an overt attempt to shield individuals in power from legitimate oversight and public scrutiny. This is unacceptable.
Your votes and silence speak volumes. I urge you to reconsider your role in protecting democratic integrity, and to support immediate and full investigation into these matters. Utah should be a model of good governance, not a cautionary tale.
I expect a response outlining your position on these issues.
