Islamophobic hate speech must be publicly condemned.

To: Sen. Scott, Rep. Wilson, Sen. Graham

From: A verified voter in North Augusta, SC

March 13

Please publically speak out against the Islamophobic hate speech being peddle by some of your Republican colleagues. Dehumanizing language like this makes everyone less safe. Hate speech should not be acceptable, not matter who it is aimed at. Additionally, the members of Congress making these hateful public comments should be censored for their words, which are unfitting for our government leaders. When a person in a leadership role uses hate speech so openly, people in our local communities feel emboldened to do the same. This will result in violence if it isn't stopped. This is not who we are as Americans.
