Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act (FY 2026 — pending)

To: Rep. Turner

From: A constituent in Yellow Springs, OH

February 1

Please vote NO on the FY 2026 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations Act, which continues to fund ICE and Border Patrol without meaningful accountability or reform. As a social worker, I see how harmful immigration enforcement policies are. People are living in fear, and this fear affects entire communities, especially children. Social workers are taught that every person deserves dignity, safety, and the right to live without terror. Continuing to fund agencies that repeatedly harm families without oversight goes against those values and causes real damage to our communities. I am asking you to stand for humanity and vote NO on any DHS funding package that continues to prioritize enforcement over compassion.
