A recent Wall Street Journal article dropped that states that Colleen Shogan, the current US Archivist, has "sought to de-emphasize negative parts of US history" in a manner that does not accurately reflect the full story of US history. How could she call herself any sort of academic when she's actively trying to make US history more palatable by taking away the parts where Americans, usually the most vulnerable Americans, suffered the most? I demand that Shogan be censured or somehow stop this whitewashing of US history. She's not just a tour guide, but a major player in how future generations are to learn about the often painful way the country has become how it is today. Don't allow her to censor the "thorny parts" of the country's history!
