You will be picking the replacement for JD Vance's senate seat and this will be a critical seat to fill. Donald Trump's extreme policies and unchecked power is a threat to our country. I urge you to pick a moderate with the strength to stand against these policies and appointments. The last time I was proud of our state was when you lead the battle against COVID and sided with science and reason in our state's response. Now I've seen you stand up to the lies about the Springfield immigrants. I cannot believe you want these extremists shaping the future our children will inherit. Please appoint a senator that will help to balance our Senate, preserve the progress we've made, honor the dignity of every human being and continue this great country. I have seen some suggestions that you should appoint Sherrod Brown, and although I wouldn't be opposed to that, I can understand if that would be politically difficult after the false but effective campaign of lies Bernie Moreno waged. It would truly send a message of your commitment to cooperation and putting country before party if you chose someone like him. This will be the most important appointment of your career and will undoubtably be something you are remembered for. So make sure you on right side of history when future generations look back. As your constituent and someone who has voted for you every time I insist you absolutely do not choose a trump loyalist.
