Gaza is being Starved
To: Rep. Mathews
From: A constituent in Maineville, OH
July 19
I’m writing to urge you to act on the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza. People are collapsing from hunger. Not a single family had a full meal on Friday. Children are starving. Parents are watching their kids wither in front of them. This is not a tragedy—it is a crime.
Blocking food and aid is not just inhumane—it is a war crime under international law. So is targeting those who seek or deliver aid. Yet this is exactly what is happening in Gaza today.
This is not about politics. It’s about basic human decency. No one should starve. No one should be punished for trying to eat.
I ask you to publicly demand that humanitarian aid be allowed into Gaza without restriction, and that civilians and aid workers be protected—not targeted. The United States cannot be complicit in silence.
