YOU are responsible for the destruction of public lands. Shame on YOU!
To: Sen. Ernst, Sen. Grassley

April 7
On April 5th, the Senate voted on numerous amendments to the Budget Resolution including Senators Hickenlooper and Heinrich Amendment 2107 which would prevent the federal government from selling public lands as a way to finance corporate tax cuts and other federal expenses.
Unfortunately, the amendment failed 48-51.
The fate of our public lands is in YOUR hands you have no regard for your constituents!
YOU voted against this amendment! YOU don’t care about public lands being used to fund tax breaks for the wealthy! YOU are complicit in the potential destruction of many of our most sacred places!
I’m still in shock that ANY of this is happening. We are witnessing the potential destruction of something our country is the most proud of…our precious public lands.
Millions of people visit public lands every year. We have protected wildlife, water systems, natural migration paths, and the essence of nature, and now YOU are supporting the destruction of some amazing places, all in the name of tax breaks. Shame on YOU!
