Although Trump has been claiming his poll numbers have never been better, the truth is that his approval rating is breaking records for how low it is going. There have been obvious signs that the American people are greatly displeased with his performance. People are still waiting for him to fulfill his campaign promise to lower prices. Many feel betrayed because he pledged that the structure of White House would not be affected by the construction of his gratuitous ballroom. Some savvy politicians are beginning to see the light. They realize that blindly following a man whose actions do not align with the best interests of the country and its people may not be in their own best interests as well. The peaceful "No Kings" protests were about the dissatisfaction of the people who realized that their governmental representatives weren't doing what was best for them but instead what was best for Trump. It wasn't a "Hate America" protest, but a wake-up call to D.C. to stop the lies and manipulation and to do what is right for the citizens. Unless you do the right things, the dissatisfaction will keep growing. You can choose to stick to your current way of functioning and hope that your approval rating won't be affected by Trump's or you can check your moral compass and make sure your priority is the wellbeing of your constituents (including your family and friends). Do not treat our country as a money making venture. Do not let people suffer hardship because you don't want to work with others to find solutions. Do not let the rest of the world watch Democracy fall apart.
