Do not let Trump enact Martial Law! Protests are allowed by the Constitution!

To: Sen. Grassley, Sen. Ernst, Rep. Hinson

April 9

On April 19, a nationwide peaceful protest will take place. As I’m sure you are aware, over 5 million people took to the streets on April 5th to protest the horrific actions by Republicans and the current administration. There are rumors that the president could enact Martial Law on April 20, based on the false premise of declaring an “emergency” at the border. If that is accurate, what will you do to educate and guide your constituents through such an extreme event? Will you hold town halls, press conferences, release articles or emails to those who have written to you? Will you have advice or encouragement for us? Will you help protect your constituents who really only want YOU to uphold the Constitution? I pray that Martial Law will not be declared, and the administration allows the constitutional right of peaceful assembly and redress of grievances. I also pray that double the amount of protesters take their messages to the streets for all to see. And I also pray that Republicans finally understand how angry their constituents are, and take action appropriately.
