I am writing as your constituent to express strong opposition to any proposed construction of a ballroom over the historic White House Rose Garden.
The Rose Garden, established in 1913 and redesigned in 1962, holds immense historical significance as the backdrop for presidential announcements and diplomatic ceremonies. This iconic space represents American tradition and natural beauty at our nation's capital.
Construction would cause irreversible damage to this designated historic landmark, destroy vital green space and wildlife habitat, and set a dangerous precedent for altering national treasures. The White House grounds belong to the American people and deserve protection.
I respectfully request that you oppose any legislation enabling such construction, support measures protecting the garden's integrity, and advocate for public input on White House grounds modifications.
Thank you for preserving this symbol of American democracy for future generations.
