I urge the Washington State House of Representatives to support and enact Senate Bill 5992. SB 5992 would create a Youth Development Fund Account to increase access to positive youth development programs across our state — including mentorship, expanded learning, social-emotional support, civic engagement, arts and STEM enrichment, and other opportunities that help young people thrive.  The Washington State Senate recently voted in favor of SB 5992, and the bill now heads to the House of Representatives for further action. This legislation represents a meaningful investment in the future of Washington’s youth by providing sustainable resources for community-based programs that support education, well-being, and opportunity.  I respectfully ask my state representatives to vote yes on SB 5992 and help ensure all young people in our communities have access to safe, enriching, and life-strengthening opportunities.
