An Open Letter

To: Rep. Harris, Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis

From: A verified voter in Marshville, NC

August 22

I stand STRONGLY OPPOSED to the President’s proposed gutting of the roadless rule and urge you to oppose any effort to do away with this long standing policy. A grove of thousand-year-old trees is not inventory. These are the closest thing this country has to sacred ground, and the desecration is permanent. Once the road goes in and the saws start, no future election, no reversal, no apology brings that forest back. It is gone.
