Expressing Disappointment in Representation of Utah Values
To: Sen. Curtis, Rep. Maloy, Sen. Lee
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
December 13
I am writing to express my deep disappointment in your representation of Utah and its values on the national stage. As your constituent, I expected leadership that would reflect the principles and character of our state, but your recent actions and positions have fallen short of that standard.
Utah has a proud tradition of principled governance, fiscal responsibility, and community-focused leadership. Our state is known for collaboration, integrity, and putting constituents first. However, your current approach does not align with these values that define who we are as Utahns.
I am particularly concerned about how your representation affects our state's reputation nationally. When you speak or act in your official capacity, you are not just representing yourself but all of us. The decisions you make and the positions you take should reflect the best of what Utah stands for, not diminish our standing among other states.
I urge you to reconsider your approach and focus on the issues that truly matter to Utah families: economic opportunity, quality education, healthcare access, and responsible stewardship of our natural resources. These are the priorities that unite our communities across political divides.
I expect my elected officials to demonstrate the integrity, thoughtfulness, and commitment to public service that Utahns deserve. I ask that you reflect on whether your current path serves the best interests of your constituents and our state's reputation.
I will be watching your actions closely and evaluating whether you are truly representing Utah values. I hope to see a change in direction that makes me proud to call you my representative.
