I’m writing because I am outraged by the Pentagon’s plan to livestream the December 3 execution of Nidal Hasan. Making an execution public would put us in the company of countries like Iran, Afghanistan, and North Korea. It’s morally repugnant. The UN says it constitutes torture (https://substack.com/redirect/a089ea9b-8d10-4e34-931e-257f3fe4ace3?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI). This is also something our children could see. It will traumatize them for life. Congress needs to do anything and everything it can to stop it. Also, impeach Pete Hegseth now. He’s unfit to stay in his position for one day more. Also, ICE is out of control and must be abolished and rebuilt from the ground up. Defund them now!
