Oppose the SAVE Act

To: Sen. Booker, Rep. Kean, Sen. Kim

From: A verified voter in Succasunna, NJ

April 9

The proposed SAVE Act threatens to undermine Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which has been crucial in enabling free expression and innovation online. This legislation would make online platforms legally responsible for the content posted by their users, disincentivizing moderation and leading to rampant censorship. It would stifle the open internet as we know it. The internet has become vital infrastructure for free speech, economic opportunity, education, and civic engagement. Undermining Section 230 puts all of that at risk. I urge you to oppose the SAVE Act and any efforts to weaken this foundational internet law.
