Last week, the U.S. House passed H.R. 845, a bill that would permanently strip federal protections for gray wolves nationwide and block the public from challenging that decision in court. This is an unprecedented attack on science-based wildlife management and decades of hard-won recovery. The bill now heads to the United States Senate. Now is the time to stay vigilant and keep the pressure on. Wolves cannot afford silence or delay. Senators need to hear, clearly and repeatedly, that people across the country expect wildlife policy to be guided by science, ethics, and public accountability.
