I am writing as your constituent to urge you to protect and fully fund the Title X Family Planning Program in all upcoming budget decisions and legislative negotiations. Title X Family Planning Program is the only federal program solely dedicated to providing affordable, preventive reproductive healthcare. It serves millions of Americans each year—especially low-income individuals, young people, and those living in rural or medically underserved communities. Title X funding supports essential services such as: • Birth control and family planning counseling • Cancer screenings (including cervical and breast cancer) • STI testing and treatment • Preventive care that reduces long-term healthcare costs These services are not abstract—they are real, frontline healthcare that people rely on every day. Restricting or defunding Title X does not eliminate the need for care. It simply reduces access, increases unintended pregnancies, delays cancer detection, and places additional strain on already overburdened healthcare systems. In states like Georgia and Louisiana, where provider networks are already limited, cuts or restrictions would have an immediate and harmful impact. I am particularly concerned about ongoing proposals that would: • Reduce funding levels for Title X • Exclude qualified providers from participating • Politicize access to basic, preventive healthcare Healthcare decisions should be guided by medical standards and patient needs—not political ideology. Protecting Title X is not only a matter of public health—it is a matter of economic stability, personal autonomy, and community well-being. Every dollar invested in preventive care saves multiple dollars in future healthcare costs. I urge you to: • Support full and sustained funding for Title X • Oppose any measures that restrict access to qualified providers • Ensure that patients can receive complete, medically accurate information and care Please prioritize policies that strengthen access to healthcare rather than limit it.
