Gomberg Representative Gomberg, thank you for standing up for our Newport community and surrounding areas. Happy that the CG helicopter has been ordered back. I just hope that the miserable trump administration follows through. Kristi Noem is a cruel and heartless Secretary of Homeland Security. We must stand up to her and trump. I don't think that most residents want an ICE facility here. We have heard too many stories of inhumane treatment and lack of due process. I have not seen any discussion on the burden of a large scale facility. It seems that the Newport area could not absorb the waste management and water resources. Just something to add to the objections. Please join continue to speak out and collaborate with other resources.
