I am writing to urge you to vote AGAINST Senate Bill 323, the most extreme anti-abortion bill we have seen. Abortion is one small part of reproductive healthcare, and yet, banning it has catastrophic repercussions. As a person who suffered through infertility treatments and required invitro fertilization in order to become a mother, the criminalization of doctors, p atients, and families, along with the proposed component of embryos being granted full personhood rights, it incredibly concerning. This field of work is so nuanced; we should not be making blanket statements / laws because they cannot address every situation. Furthermore, they undermine the humanity of the people actually involved. I appreciate your thoughtful consideration of my request.
