I recently contacted your office to express my grave concern about detention and deportation of people who are in the United States legally. You responded with a form letter about how Vice President Harris failed to secure the [southern - emphasis mine] border. The letter pontificated about the flow of gangsters and fentanyl into this country. Your pivot from the terrifying seizure of a young graduate student to illegal activity at the southern border illustrates your deep ignorance and/or mendacity. I don’t know which is worse. ICE agents are grabbing visa holders off the street, gestapo style. It’s horrific and counter to the ideals that make this country great. You are doing nothing. Shame on you. Your constituents deserve better.
