I am writing as a constituent living abroad and voting in your district to demand that you oppose the SAVE Act. This bill is a blatant power grab that exploits misinformation about voter fraud—a problem proven to be vanishingly rare, with only 24 documented cases among over 600 million votes cast in presidential elections since 20032.
Most importantly, this legislation would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, including U.S. citizens serving and/or living abroad like me. Its stringent documentation requirements, such as in-person proof of citizenship via passports or birth certificates, create unnecessary barriers for Americans who already face challenges accessing voting systems from overseas.
The SAVE Act undermines democratic principles and suppresses voter participation under the guise of election security. I urge you to stand against this attack on our rights and vote NO on the SAVE Act.
