Vote no on GENIUS Act without critical revisions
To: Sen. Alsobrooks

The GENIUS Act poses risks to our financial system, national security, and democratic integrity due to inadequate safeguards. It would facilitate corruption by allowing President Trump's stablecoin company to rapidly expand while failing to address conflicts of interest. The bill lacks consumer protections, permits risky investments by stablecoin issuers, and constrains regulators' ability to impose prudential standards, increasing system vulnerability. With loopholes for illicit finance and no open amendment process, the GENIUS Act threatens stability and public trust. I urge you to vote no unless critical fixes addressing these issues are made through the regular amendment process as promised. This unacceptable bill must not advance without proper scrutiny and revisions to uphold the integrity of our financial system and democracy.
