Support the Hemp Planting Predictability Act (H.R. 7024)
I urge you to support H.R. 7024, the Hemp Planting Predictability Act.
This bipartisan legislation provides a practical solution by extending the implementation timeline for recent federal hemp production changes from one year to three years. That additional time would allow Congress, federal agencies, states, farmers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to work together on a thoughtful, science-based regulatory framework instead of forcing abrupt changes that could disrupt American agriculture and small businesses. A delayed implementation is not the same as eliminating oversight. Instead, it creates an opportunity to develop clear standards for product safety, testing, labeling, age restrictions, and enforcement while minimizing unnecessary economic disruption. Responsible businesses that comply with the law should have the opportunity to adapt to new regulations rather than face sudden uncertainty.
America’s hemp industry supports farmers, processors, retailers, and thousands of jobs. A measured transition will better protect consumers, preserve economic stability, and give lawmakers time to enact long-term policies that prioritize public safety and regulatory certainty.
Please support the Hemp Planting Predictability Act and help ensure that future hemp policy is developed through careful deliberation, sound science, and bipartisan cooperation.
