The American people elected you to do a job. Part of that job is vetting Cabinet appointees. Please take your job seriously. Do not recess. Consider the qualifications of each nomination seriously, just as you would a nominee for a judgeship. Each president is entitled to choose the members of his Cabinet, but that shouldn't give him carte blanche to choose just anyone. The President may be their supervisor but they work for the American people, and we deserve qualified nominees who are fully vetted prior to taking office.
