I urge you to take action against the rising use of masked, anonymous law enforcement and abusive ICE tactics in our state. We’re seeing students, visa and green card holders, and undocumented immigrants disappear without explanation — and even public officials, like NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, being arrested. This is all part of Trump’s escalating immigration agenda, and we need bold legislative leadership to push back. I’m asking you to: 1 Introduce or support legislation like California’s No Secret Police Act that bans face coverings and requires visible ID for all law enforcement. 2 Increase oversight and transparency around federal immigration activity in our state. 3 Strengthen sanctuary protections and stop local agencies from sharing data or cooperating in politically motivated ICE raids.
