Please oppose H.R. 8330 at Wednesday’s House Judiciary markup. H.R. 8330 is a dangerous bill that would give Big Oil total immunity from efforts to hold them accountable for fueling the climate crisis. No industry should be above the law — especially Big Oil. H.R. 8330 would create a broad legal shield for fossil fuel companies against climate lawsuits, prohibit state climate superfund laws, and broadly preempt state and local climate policies. I urge you to attend Wednesday’s markup and voice your strong opposition to this proposal to put Big Oil above the law. We must protect our right to hold corporations accountable when they cause harm. We must NOT grant immunity for Big Oil. We are in a race now between fossil fuel and AI interests to see which one will wipe out humanity. You should be protecting us, not lining your pockets with special interest money.
