President Donald Trump and multiple members of his cabinet have refused to condemn the Patriot Front group (or their ideology) who marched in DC on 4th of July.
This is not the first time Trump has refused to condemn White Nationalist groups.
During the 2017 Charlottesville Rally, Teump remarked that there were very finely people in the group that trolled the streets. That group carried torches chanting racist and antisemitic tropes like "blood and soil." He also tried to blame the violence that occurred on the counter protesters. There was bipartisan condemnation of the rally and of Trump's refusal to condemn it.
Then in 2020, Trump held a rally where he worked a crowd into a frenzy, which resulted in the January 6th insurrection. Trump not only refused to condemn the violence committed against police, and the threats against his own Vice President and members of Congress, but again refused to condemn the White Nationalist groups present.
To this day Trump continues to lie about the events of January 6th.
Trump has proven that he will sow hate and bigotry in our country, lending these people and groups the largest platform possible as the President of the United States of America.
This is disgraceful, and in any other administration, a president with this behavior would be forced out or impeached by his own party.
But Republicans have proven either they are not up to the job or they agree with the direction Trump has taken the party.
Shame on you all. You have shown us who you are, and we will show you what we think of the Republican party come the midterms.
