Immediate Action Required Co-Sponsor H.R. 3565 to End U.S. Complicity
To: Rep. Hayes
From: A verified voter in Waterbury, CT
July 9
Currently, 23 House Democrats, led by Rep. Delia Ramirez of Illinois, have introduced H.R. 3565, a critical piece of legislation that would impose new restrictions on U.S. military aid to Israel.
This bill is now under consideration in the House — yet not a single representative from Connecticut has signed on as a co-sponsor.
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — a leader credibly accused of war crimes — meets with former President Trump in a grotesque display of political appeasement, Gaza is enduring relentless bombardment. Civilians are being killed in airstrikes, shot while seeking food, and children are starving. These are not unfortunate side effects of war — they are the direct consequences of a military campaign that continues to receive American funding and political cover.
This is morally indefensible. The American public overwhelmingly demands an end to this genocide — and we expect our elected officials to respond accordingly.
I am calling on you to immediately co-sponsor and actively support H.R. 3565: To provide for a limitation on the transfer of defense articles and defense services to Israel.
Do the right thing — and do it today. I will be closely monitoring your public statements, social media channels, and official website for your response.
Silence is complicity. The time for moral clarity and legislative action is now.
