Elon Musk Represents An Unprecedented Risk To The USA.

Elon Musk is a threat to democracy - 1. He holds an unprecedented level of influence on our elections. His wealth buys influence that jepordizes the democratic foundations of the USA. This year alone, Musk has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars into political contributions, making him one of the most powerful financial actors in modern American electoral politics. (This is only the money he that he is required to disclose.) 2. Musk also has an unprecedented level of control over our critical communications and military infrastructure. Through SpaceX, Starlink, and Star Shield, Musk holds outsized leverage over private and military connectivity. Reports from conflict zones note how restrictions or decisions regarding Starlink uptime can directly alter defense and tactical operations, as we are seeing in Ukraine. 3. Through Musk's ownership of X (formerly Twitter) and use of populist rhetoric, he shapes public discourse, amplifies political polarization, and bypasses traditional institutional checks. Ownership of X has allows him to erode our systems of democratic oversight and information control. Reports from the Harvard Kennedy School Carr Center describe how he uses "information violence" and platform algorithms to influence democratic processes and penalize critics. 4. Investigations by the U.S. House Committee on Oversight highlighted reporting from outlets like The New York Times detailing how DOGE-led actions bypassed traditional protocols, froze foreign aid (such as USAID), triggered mass federal firings, and gained sweeping access to sensitive government and citizen data without standard legislative oversight. In short, Musk was able to bypass institutional checks and cause mass federal disruption, without ever even holding an official position in our government. 5. Musk represents a conflict of interest in government as someone who can influence the agencies that award contracts to some of his own companies, and financially benefit others. - As a leader or de facto head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk was allowed to oversees agencies that regulate or fund his own massive federal contractors—such as Tesla (Department of Transportation), SpaceX (Department of Defense and NASA), and Neuralink (HHS). Critics and legal challenges argue this violates federal ethics statutes like 18 U.S.C. 208 by letting him dismantle or weaken the very regulators investigating his companies. 6. There are valid questions to be asked in regards to how Musk obtained US citizenship. There seems to be a fairly good chance that Musk started a business and worked while here on a student visa, which is not allowed and likely resulted in falsification on USCIS forms. This gives a clear legal reason for rejection of his later applications that resulted in him gaining US citizenship. It is time to investigate Musk at the highest levels of government and stop him before it is too late for our country.
