Vote No on SAVE Act - Passport Requirement Targets Republican Voters
To: Sen. Lee, Rep. Maloy, Sen. Curtis
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
March 11
Vote no on the SAVE America Act. This is another attempt by the current President to steal an election, and it will backfire on Republican voters.
The passport requirement will suppress conservative turnout. Only 48% of Americans hold passports, and passport ownership skews heavily toward coastal Democrats. Rural Americans, who vote Republican by wide margins, are far less likely to have passports than urban liberals who travel internationally. This bill hands Democrats an advantage by creating barriers that disproportionately affect the Republican base.
Birth certificates aren't a solution either. Millions of Americans born at home or in rural areas lack easy access to these documents. These are your voters, not theirs. Meanwhile, Democratic strongholds in major cities have streamlined document access that Republican-leaning rural counties can't match.
Stand strong against this bill. Don't let this administration rig the system by imposing requirements that will keep more Republicans home than Democrats. The data is clear: passport mandates hurt conservative turnout.
