Remove unfit Defense Secretary endangering national security
To: Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis

It is concerning that Secretary Hegseth has repeatedly shared classified military operational details, potentially compromising national security. Such a breach of trust and protocol from the leader of the Defense Department is unacceptable. Hegseth's actions show a troubling lack of judgment and accountability that put American lives at risk. The revolving door of senior advisors resigning and being dismissed points to serious leadership issues at the Pentagon that are undermining military readiness and morale. For the sake of our armed forces and national defense, it is imperative that the administration takes immediate action. Hegseth should be relieved of his duties and replaced by an experienced, principled leader who can restore integrity and discipline to the Defense Department. Our men and women in uniform deserve a Secretary of Defense who is qualified, ethical, and committed to safeguarding sensitive information. Failure to swiftly address this crisis in Pentagon leadership will only further erode confidence in our national security apparatus. The nation's defense is too critical to be imperiled by an unfit cabinet official.
