It’s unconscionable that Speaker Johnson is still refusing to swear in Democratic Representative-Elect Adelita Grijalva a full month after her overwhelming victory in the AZ-07 special election. This is a blatant political tactic to delay her officially taking office. Every day this continues makes Republican members more complicit in the undemocratic denial of representation to the people of Arizona’s Seventh District. I’m calling on you to demand that Speaker Johnson seat Grijalva NOW. He needs to stop making excuses and follow his own past precedents to swear her in without delay.
