You must do everything in your power to stop the PAUSE Act that Representative Chip Roy introduced on November 20th. Passing any part of this bill would have a disastrous effect on families—children, elders, students, workers—and the economy they uphold. Not only is challenging birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, so are the broad powers this bill seeks to grant to profile, surveillance, and remove innocent people. This bill is nothing short of ethnic cleansing and I’m alarmed that we are in a climate where a bill like this can be introduced.
