Congress has gone on vacation. The House was sent home by Mike Johnson. The Senate has gone home. Congress has been shut down because the Republicans are completely dysfunctional and unable to govern. The Republicans can't agree on anything, be it the War Powers Act, or Trump's billion dollar slush fund, or Trump and his family no longer having to show their tax returns because they are corrupt, or affordable housing for Americans, or healthcare for Americans, or no future wars in Cuba or Greenland or wherever else it is that Trump thinks he needs to start a war. Congress is ineffective and dysfunctional because of the Republican party. The Republican party is useless. The House has spent more time on vacation than they have in Washington DC working. It is not lost on the American people that we have a dysfunctioning, ineffective, inept Congress. It is not lost on the American people that our elected representatives who are supposed to be working for us are spending more time at home than they are in Washington DC. It is not lost in the American people that the Republicans in Congress, and in particular in the House, are unable to stand up to Donald Trump and start working for us instead of solely for him. Republicans, get your act together. Figure out how to govern and do the job you were elected to do. You are public servants. You work for us. You do not work solely for the president of the United States. Democrats in Congress, be tough. Bully the Republicans if you have to to make them pick a side. Stop bringing a butter knife to a sword fight. Make them choose: the American people or Donald Trump. Congress needs to come together and work for the betterment of our country. Stop being cowards. This is the most dysfunctional Congress in our nation's history and we have the most corrupt leader in our nation's history. The American people are not benefiting from Congress or Trump. The annoying thing is you may not see this email because you're on vacation instead of in Washington working.
