DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." There are DOZENS of basic human violations committed when I was in operation. The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat! The food and water was not fit for human consumption. The space allotted for each prisoner was grossly inadequate. The prisoners were unable to shower or clean their teeth on a regular basis! The people in charge of this operation INCLUDING Kristy Noem must be held accountable for these crimes against humanity!
