The Israeli military has murdered over 42,000 Palestinians, including at least 16,500 children, with the true death toll likely far higher. Now, expanding its relentless bombardment, it has killed more than 2,400 Lebanese people, carrying out massacres and mass forced displacement in Lebanon, and dragging the entire region into full-blown war. The grief, sorrow, and pain is endless. And it is funded and enabled by the Biden administration, which continues to arm the Israeli government. Congress must intervene. For the first time in U.S. history, there will be a vote in Congress to block weapons to Israel. Senators Bernie Sanders, Peter Welch, and Jeff Merkley have introduced Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to stop a $20 billion weapons shipment approved by the Biden administration. It is of utmost importance to block these weapons, and to support a full arms embargo on the Israeli government to save lives. We must not fund genocide any longer with American tax dollars.
