Please get a voicemail box. Secondly, I have never felt more letdown by my Senator than I do right now. Why don’t you have a voicemail box?!? How am I supposed to yell at my senator if I can’t reach you? There are a billion federal workers that you represent; we legally cannot call you during business hours! Only paying the DOD workforce and not the rest of the government in a shutdown is going to lose all of your leverage. This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard. Do you want to have more shut downs? The only people who shouldn’t be getting paid right now are you: Congress. A large portion of your constituents are non DoD federal workers, and you are letting us down. Be better. Shutdowns shouldn’t happen. They should hurt when they do. I want to be working. Do your job so I can do my job.
