I am writing to DEMAND that you take URGENT ACTION to counter the multiple unconstitutional actions of the Executive, preserve the three branches of government, and fight for America. In short order, the administration has issued multiple unconstitutional Executive Orders since taking office, subverted the responsibilities of Congress, and is now flagrantly ignoring rulings from the Supreme Court. As a separate branch of government, the role of Congress in these instances is to join with the Judiciary to constrain the Executive’s overreach. To date you personally have failed to uphold this responsibility. I am writing to you now to DEMAND that you meet the needs of these unprecedented times. To date, your passivity has enabled the Executive’s flagrant overreach. Your inaction has emboldened the President, his appointees, and his staff to ride roughshod over the rights of fellow citizens and residents. Your spineless kowtowing to a party line and individuals who appear to be your paymasters has unleashed incalculable damage to America’s economy, diplomacy, reputation, global power, and ability to prosper for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Americans of all ages, incomes, and political opinions are being hurt on a daily basis. People are suffering. You cannot ignore this present pain and the disasters for our country that loom on the horizon. In telephone town halls, emails, and other media, you have spoken several times about upholding the Constitution, that it is our guiding principle of government and the American way of life. Your actions have failed to match your rhetoric, and your actions are far more powerful than your words. Your constituents need you to uphold your responsibilities and, independently or in collaboration with your peers, exercise your Congressional authorities. Uphold the Constitution. Uphold the three branches of government. Constrain the Executive. FIGHT FOR AMERICA. You have an opportunity to be a true American hero. It is VITAL that you take this opportunity, or forever be condemned as a collaborator in the destruction of the Constitution and America as the shining city on the hill. Your are an elected member of the US Congress. ACT LIKE ONE.
