Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced legislation to impose a national moratorium on the construction of AI data centers. Regulations are needed to ensure safety and protect workers and the environment. Humanity should be very concerned about the impact of AI and data centers on communities, the environment, and the economy. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center Moratorium Act, is legislation that would enact a reasonable pause to the development of AI to ensure the safety of humanity.
