Musk has breeched sensitive data, and he must be held accountable

To: Gov. Evers, Rep. Vining, Sen. Hutton

From: A constituent in Brookfield, WI

February 3

I am deeply alarmed by reports that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been granted access to the U.S. Treasury’s payment system, which processes Social Security benefits, tax refunds, and other federal payments. This system contains sensitive personal data, potentially including my Social Security number. No private billionaire should have access to such information, especially without strict oversight and transparency. This is a serious privacy and national security risk. I urge you to demand an immediate investigation and take action to protect the personal data of all Americans. Elon Musk was not elected nor confirmed by Senate, nor is his "office" a legitimate office of the government. He is a private citizen who should not have this type of power. Please let me know what steps you are taking to address this urgent issue. Action by the state has less of a chance of being overturned by President Trump, so please consider taking any legal action you can.
